it might have been against my better judgement - and definitely against the russian's - but i joined my boys at mjq on saturday in spite of the congestion of my lungs - and had the best effin' time ever.

banquet twice on two separate dance floors. enough said.

(dear njg - i tried like hell to call you when we heard sexyback - but i'll be damned if my new(ish) service provider don't work underground!)

when this was pointed out to me last night, i felt i had to share it.

in my defense, my husband the native son is the one who did said pointing:

"Syktyvkar, with a population about 250,000, is one of the least appealing towns in Russia. It has no nightlife, nothing in the shops, dreadful restaurants, a high crime rate and its hotels are full of cockroaches. There is a marginally picturesque quarter of the town with old wooden buildings known as 'Paris' because it was from that area that captured French soldiers were deported during the Napoleonic Wars. The immigration police are sticklers for the rules, so if you have the misfortune to go there, make sure your visa is in order."

i'll let you all know in november...
